Denver in November

To celebrate our HUGE success, Suzanne and I took a weekend trip to Denver...Estes Park.
So relaxing, so fun and I was not ready to come home.

and these little guys live in town..apparently they own the place

took a little drive through the mountains..we planned to hike a little, but when we got to the top, it was a sideways blowing storm.  Started out at 64 and was 33 on the way up..not so great for "walking" and outdoor picture taking

We took a tour of the Stanley Hotel.  While we were there they were having a TAPS convention - you know the paranomal activity folks.  It has a long history of ghosts and hauntings.

This staircase was used in the movie Dumb and Dumber..welcome to Aspen

tunnels that used to lead underground and connect the grounds and their buildings

This place was awesome.  Beautiful, restful and relaxing..much different than the busy city of Arkadelphia!

November to remember

This month, we hosted our first
Stepping up for Ouachita
women's fundraising event.
It was so successful and a great inagural event.
My co-worker Suzanne and I have been working planning this for the last year.

Pink Party

October was also my month to host Bunko and since its Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I thought it was a perfect time to "theme out" a party. We had such a good time and you know I enjoyed pulling it all together:

grandmother's recipe - Strawberry cake

this amazing fabric I found for table cloths

pink candy in my goodie bags

little happies at all the places

the spread

I even fuond crystals to rim my cups with

giant campfire marshmallows dipped in pink chocolate - yes, I'm that crazy

roasted red pepper and artichoke dip

strawberries in my water

pink pasta

ribbon breadsticks

cranberry meatballs
